Celebrating 35 years of Erasmus+

Celebrating 35 years of Erasmus+

The year 2022 marks the 35th anniversary of the Erasmus+ program, the European program for education, training, youth, and sport. The National Agency in the Netherlands celebrated this anniversary with physical meetings for stakeholders from education and youth & youth work.

With great pleasure we look back on several pleasant gatherings to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the program. On 12 and 13 October, no fewer than four events took place in the Netherlands for different (educational) sectors:

  1. Senior secondary vocational education
  2. Higher education
  3. Adult education
  4. Youth and youth work

Experiences, inspiration and party!

For many, it was the first opportunity in two years to meet each other physically again, exchange experiences and gain inspiration during one of the many workshops. Of course, a festive networking drink at the end of the afternoon could not be missed.

Adult education, Hortus Botanicus Leiden (12 October):

In this beautiful location it was time to see each other again in real-life, to exchange experiences and to gain inspiration. Very important in an era where the adult education program Erasmus plus becomes even more important due to lifelong development.

For adult education on entrepreneurial Skills, Mark Vlak (Skills-Connect and City of Learning Breda) gave a workshop on blended learning and how we learn to value and validate Open Badges better and better. The workshop was attended by many professionals from the adult learning industry, Governmental officials and officials from the Dutch National Erasmus plus agency.
